Helen's Chunky Bacon, Leek & Potato Chowder

Serving Size: 6

8 sl Bacon
3 Leeks, sliced use mostly White)
4 ounces Butter
1/2 cup Flour
1 can Chicken broth
1 can Hot water
4 small Potatoes. peeled and diced
2 cups Half and half
Salt to taste
White pepper to taste
dash of nutmeg

Saute bacon and leeks in a stockpot. Add butter, flour, and cook for 2 minutes. Stir in water, chicken broth, potatoes, and cream. Add salt, white pepper, and nutmeg to taste. bake at 325F until potatoes are tender, about 1 1/4 hours.. Serve.
